Santam has announced leadership appointments and promotions across the Group effective February 2026.
In a statement, Santam says that Ms Welma Grobler has been promoted to COO of Santam Broker Solutions. With over three decades at Santam, her appointment reflects her exceptional leadership, operational expertise and deep industry knowledge as she leads Broker Solutions into its next phase of growth.
Santam also welcomes Mr Max Popescu as Chief Pricing and Reserving Actuary. With extensive experience across pricing, reserving, capital and portfolio management in Africa and Europe, he brings valuable international reinsurance insight that strengthens Santam Re and International.
In addition, Mr Christoff Brink has been promoted to COO at Specialist Solutions, effective immediately. He will continue in his role as CFO of Specialist Solutions, ensuring strong alignment across operational, financial and systems functions, as the Group builds future-ready capabilities.
