Jordan: Digital platform integrates health insurance claims with national billing system

The Jordan Medical Association (JMA) has said that the digital healthcare platform Hakeem has been integrated with the national billing system, so that doctors billing insurers is now automatic once an insurance claim is filed.

Under Hakeem, doctors connect electronically to the national billing system and reduce the operational burden of billing medical insurance claims, reported Petra News Agency, citing a JMA statement.

The JMA noted that Hakeem has linked the online claim platforms of several insurance providers and third-party administrators to the national billing system.

Hakeem is a platform that allows physicians, pharmacists, medical technologists, and other clinicians to electronically access the medical records of a patient in participating healthcare facilities across Jordan by entering the patient’s national ID number. M
