Turkiye: First rules issued for loss investigators

The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK) has published a circular, setting out that the authority, responsibility and duties of claims investigators are limited solely to investigating insurance fraud and suspicious claims.

According to SEDDK, with the amendments made to the Regulation on Insurance Support Services on 23 July 2026, damage investigation activities are comprehensively regulated for the first time and brought in line with international practices. Within this scope, the authority, responsibility, and duties of damage investigators are limited.
