Tunisian company AMI Assurances and Sompo Japan Insurance have signed a strategic partnership agreement.
This agreement, the result of several months’ work, enables the Japanese party to ensure AMI Assurances’ ability to meet the requirements of international standards.
Japanese companies which are going to establish themselves or which already operate in Tunisia will be able, through AMI Assurances, to benefit from insurance coverage in accordance with the standards of the Japanese parent companies and to have the desired assistance and accompaniment. This partnership also includes a reinsurance component.
AMI Assurances’ Technical and Financial Division central director Faker Rais said during the signing ceremony held in the last week of August 2022, that the partnership is a guarantee of confidence in the Tunisian insurer and also represents a great opportunity for what it will bring in terms of technical know-how.
The agreement is not limited to Tunisian territory and will also allow AMI Assurances to act as a relay for Sompo Japan Insurance throughout the African continent out of Tunisia, which will be positioned as a regional strategic platform. M
