A total of 58 insurers, brokers, risk managers, service providers and industry leaders have emerged as the finalists for the 9th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards.
This year’s awards drew over 200 entries from the MENA region vying for the top honours in 18 categories. The finalists were shortlisted by a panel of 25 judges – comprising CEOs, senior executives, association heads and industry experts – through a remote judging process.
Now in its ninth year, the Awards recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and companies in the insurance sector across the MENA region. The awards aim to boost standards and promote greater professionalism in the market. The award process offers utmost transparency, with clearly defined criteria and judging requirements.
For the first stage, judges picked from a list of finalists by going through the entries, each based on a 1,200-word write-up. The final round took place on 19 September where the judges discussed in detail to select the winners by secret ballot. The entire process was audited by EY.
This year, the awards ceremony will be a live event and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 21 November at the Conrad Hotel Dubai.
