Gallagher Re has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire South Africa based reinsurance brokerage Resilea, the largest independent reinsurance broker in South Africa.
Gallagher Re said, “This acquisition represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen our market position, diversify our client offering, and broaden our capabilities across South Africa.
The global reinsurance broker did not provide the terms of the acquisition.
Resilea offers bespoke reinsurance advisory services across a wide range of product lines. It describes itself as a data-led, relationships business focused on reinsurance, using technology and data analytics, and offering bespoke advisory services.
