Ascoma Assureurs Conseils has appointed Mr Vincent Vandendael and Mr Ziad Younes as members of its board of directors.
Mr Vandendael brings over 30 years of experience in developed and emerging insurance markets, with a focus on strategic geographic expansion and financial management. He has held a number of leadership and executive roles at global insurance and financial companies, including Everest Insurance Company, Lloyd’s of London’s international network and Zurich Financial Services’ corporate and commercial lines.
Mr Vandendael also serves as a non-executive member on the Board of Baloise Group, leads insurance brokerage group MJM Holdings as chair, and advises a number of MGAs. He was also appointed to the Board of Chedid Re Global Operations, Chedid Capital’s reinsurance brokerage network, in July 2024.
Mr Younes is chairman and CEO of BUTEC Group, where he has led the group’s strategic growth across the MEA region. He brings a wealth of expertise in cross-border infrastructure management, complex public-private partnerships, industrial economics and energy regulation.
Mr Younes is also a founding member of the MIT Enterprise Forum for the pan-Arab region.
