Global:Insured losses from major hurricane Matthew slashed to US$4-6 bln

The insurance industry gave a huge sigh of relief after Hurricane Matthew skirted Florida and weakened as it landed in South Carolina last weekend, with a catastrophe modelling firm slashing its estimate for insurance losses from the event from US$25 billion to $4 billion.
