The number of registered vehicles in Turkiye stood at 32.37m at the end of June 2025, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

Mr Gokmen also highlighted the average number of accidents monthly by province, saying, “When we look at TRAMER's provincial accident data, we see that there were 128,000 traffic accidents in Istanbul in June. This figure reaches 40,000 in Ankara, 33,000 in Izmir, 20,000 in Bursa, and approximately 17,000 in Antalya. In short, in most of our provinces, approximately 1-2% of registered vehicles experience an accident each month.”
