Eight insurance companies in Turkey are ranked among the top 100 tax paying businesses this year, twice the number last year when four insurers were on the list.
According to a report in the newspaper Haberturk, the eight insurers and the amounts of taxes they are to pay based on 2017 financial results are:

The top taxpaper is the Central Bank of Turkey with tax payable of TRY3,091.4m. The next seven biggest taxpayers are banks.
Apart from insurers and banks, the other top taxpayers in Turkey are from the telecommunication, energy, construction, retail, mining, technology and logistics sectors.
