Takaful News - Malaysia: Takaful Companies Urged to Venture Overseas

Malaysian Second Deputy Finance Minister Dr Awang Adek Hussin is urging Malaysia-based takaful companies to explore overseas markets. He suggested that they approach Islamic countries first, such as Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Pakistan. They could also consider non-Muslim nations with a significant Muslim population like China and Britain. At present, Malaysian takaful operators with overseas operations are Takaful Malaysia and Takaful Nasional.
