AROPE Insurance, in collaboration with Munich Re, held a special gathering for insurance brokers to officially launch EXPAND – its latest international healthcare solution.

Mr Fateh Bekdache, chairman and CEO of AROPE Insurance, said during his speech that Munich Re and AROPE have shared a long history, with their partnership going back to 1981 when the two companies signed the first treaty. He also presented AROPE’s latest innovative services, key consolidated results and 2018 performance.

Mr Kenneth Bollhardt, Munich Re’s business development and client relations manager for Middle East and Africa, conducted a comprehensive presentation about EXPAND, explaining its main features, benefits and claims processing. He also showed a brief simulation of premiums, which grabbed the brokers’ interest given the attractive and affordable yearly premiums starting at only $100.

As a comprehensive international medical insurance plan, EXPAND covers all medical treatment costs for five critical illnesses – cancer treatment, heart valve replacement surgery, major organ and bone marrow transplant, neurosurgery and coronary artery bypass surgery – in renowned medical centres and hospitals outside the country of residence, according to Mr Bollhardt. These leading healthcare facilities include Johns Hopkins Medicine, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, UPMC New York, Hôpitaux Universitaires Pitié Salpêtrière, Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, and others. M
