Generali Global Health appoints Head of Business Development
International private medical insurer Generali Global Health (GGH) has appointed Mr Paul Winstanley as Head of Business Development. 
 
   Mr Winstanley will lead and build the global business development function across Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia. He was previously Head of Global Corporate at BUPA Global and comes with a proven track record of intermediated sales to the corporate sector.
 
 
Arthur J. Gallagher appoints MENA Practice Director
Arthur J. Gallagher (AJG), the international broking division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co outside of the US, has appointed Mr Nawaf Hasan as MENA Practice Director to lead and manage organic growth in the region. This newly created position will help drive the business’ international strategy to maximise opportunities and support clients within this region. 
 
   In this new role, Mr Hasan will be responsible for coordinating AJG’s business across MENA and identifying and developing opportunities for its specialty product lines. He will also ensure a joined-up approach to serving AJG’s clients in the region and activating markets within these geographies. 
 
   Mr Hasan joined Gallagher’s London-based energy practice in 2014.
 
 
Charles Taylor Adjusting strengthens its aviation team in the Middle East
Charles Taylor Adjusting (CTA) has bolstered its aviation capability with the appointment of Mr Richard Jackson as Resident Aviation Surveyor and Adjuster in Dubai. He brings over 25 years’ aviation engineering and insurance experience with him.
 
   Mr Jackson will be responsible for strengthening CTA’s aviation presence in the Middle East and surrounding areas. His expertise on the Boeing and Airbus fleet will be particularly valuable to CTA’s clients in the region, who are experiencing substantial growth in both narrow and wide body aircraft fleets.
 
   Mr Jackson joined CTA following three years with an international aviation adjuster. He previously worked as an aviation engineer with international airlines including Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Monarch Airlines. 
 
 
Jordan: AUII appoints Chairman and GM
Arab Union International Insurance Company (AUII) has named Mr Salem Al-Khazaleh as Chairman with effect from February 2016. Mr Al Khazaleh, previously a Minister of Industry and Trade (MIT), was Chairman of Dubai Jordan Islamic Bank. Earlier, he served as the General Controller of Companies at MIT. He enjoys vast experience in insurance, legislations and strategic planning.
 
   AUII has also appointed Mr Yacoub Sawalha as General Manager. He has more than 27 years of experience in the insurance industry where he served in various positions, most recently as General Manager of Arabia Insurance Company – Jordan.
 
 
Turkey: Milli Re names new Assistant GM
Millî Reasürans T.A.S. (Milli Re) has appointed Mr Vehbi Kaan Acun as the new Assistant General Manager effective 1 February.
 
   In this new position, Mr Acun will be in charge of Milli Re’s Singapore Branch and International Reinsurance Accounting, ECO-FAIR Pools and Foreign Inward Business Departments.
 
   Mr Acun started his career as an Assistant Inspector at Isbank, the parent company of Milli Re. After eight years, he joined Milli Re in 2006 as an Assistant Technical Manager. Following a stint as a Coordinator in the company’s Singapore branch, he held the positions of Technical Manager and Group Manager at the Head Office.
