Global Events - Palestine: Apex holds specialty covers workshop

Apex Insurance Brokers, a Jordan-based regional broker with branches in other MENA markets, held a workshop addressing specialty insurance covers, in cooperation with the Palestine Insurance Federation (PIF) in Ramallah in January.
The workshop addressed important issues in the insurance industry today, including bankers blanket bond and D&O insurance, presenting the technical basis for underwriting, limits, terms and exclusions of coverage in these specialty lines.
Mr Amjad Jaddou, Secretary General of PIF, said that developing the capabilities of insurance professionals in the Palestinian market continues to be a priority for the Federation, noting that PIF will ramp up its educational activities in 2016 through a dedicated training programme.
Mr Tareq Marea, Director of General Insurance and Partner with Apex Insurance, said the company is pleased to continue cooperating with the Federation to support local technical skills and strengthen the insurance profession in Palestine. He noted that Apex enjoys strong relations with the Palestinian insurance sector and hopes to provide the market with the necessary know-how to further develop and grow.
Several professionals from the general insurance departments of insurance companies in Palestine attended the workshop.
