Middle East News - Around 900 sign up for 31st GAIF Conference

With two more months to go, the 31st GAIF Conference in Beirut is set to attract over 1,000 delegates with nearly 900 signing up as of mid-February.
A key highlight of the reinsurance calendar, the biennial event represents an opportunity for professionals to discuss the present state and future prospects of Arab insurance industry. It typically draws large crowds numbering in the thousands.
The theme this year is “The Future Challenges of the Arab Insurance and Reinsurance Companies”, inspired by the current economic and social circumstances affecting the region. Speakers will include Mr Denis Kessler, Chairman of SCOR and Mr Bernd Kohn, Chief Executive – Middle East/ Africa, Munich Re.
The GAIF Conference will be held on 24-26 May and will be hosted by the Lebanese Insurance Association (ACAL).
