National General Insurance Company (NGi) is on an expansion path and has established a presence in Sharjah, its first office outside Dubai. The company is eyeing a branch in Abu Dhabi next.

NGi provides life insurance, medical, property, casualty, credit risk as well as other general policies. The Dubai-headquartered company was also recently in the news for its partnership with British insurance group, Aviva, to offer life and investment products.

A composite insurer listed in Dubai, NGi is an associate of the Emirates Bank Group and Commercial Bank of Dubai.

The UAE comprises seven emirates, namely, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm-al Qaiwain.
