Tunisia's draft Budget for 2027 stipulates that the state will cover half of the insurance premiums related to exports to other African markets.
The goal is to promote the integration of Tunisian companies into African markets, particularly those of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The Export Risk Guarantee Fund would provide the funding for the government’s 50% share of premiums.
The draft Finance Bill was submitted to lawmakers on 15 October.
