The Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF) is working to establish a comprehensive digital platform to assist insurance companies in underwriting and compensation processes.
Members of the Federation, including representatives of the Legal Committee and Motor Insurance Committee, met last week to discuss the information required for the database in the motor insurance branch and the possibility of exchanging it among insurers to help them make sound administrative, financial and legal decisions in the motor insurance branch, the Federation said in a statement posted on its Facebook account.
During the meeting, JIF’s Information Technology Advisor, Engineer Ahmed Abriush, presented a brief on the initial version of the system that the Federation is developing and the platform to be provided for insurance companies and policyholders interested in purchasing comprehensive insurance policies. He also outlined the information that the Federation will provide through electronic linking with various governmental and private entities to obtain the information required to complete this system.
The Legal Committee and Motor Insurance Committee presented a set of recommendations and proposals to contribute to the development of the database.
