UAE:Dental guidance platform finds need for clearer pricing logic

| 09 Jul 2026

Dental treatment prices in Dubai are often visible online, but the quote logic behind them is not always clear, according to the findings of a review carried out by LumiQuest Dental Circle, a specialised dental guidance platform.

LumiQuest reviewed 135 public dental price signals across nine major treatment categories in Dubai to understand how clearly online price pages explain treatment costs, inclusions, exclusions, and quote variables.

In a report titled “Dubai Dental Cost Transparency Report”, LumiQuest says that unclear quotes matter for insured and self-paying patients because “Insurance accepted” or a visible starting price does not always explain what the patient may ultimately need to pay, what is excluded, or what could change after examination.

A lower online price is not automatically better, and a higher online price is not automatically excessive. The most useful price pages explain what the number actually means,” says the report.

Selected findings

On a scale of ‘0’ (no usable price information) to ‘5’ (full quote logic):

  • Dental implants averaged 3.08 on quote transparency.

  • Tooth extraction averaged 2.87, the weakest category in the dataset.

  • Dental cleaning averaged 3.60, the strongest category reviewed.

  • Invisalign / clear aligners averaged 3.57.

  • Root canal averaged 3.53.

Common missing quote details included whether diagnostics, follow-up visits, materials, lab options, case-complexity changes, add-ons, VAT, medication, retainers, crowns, grafting, sedation, trays, polishing, or touch-up visits were included.

Dr Joe Feghali, orthodontist and founder of LumiQuest, said, “Public dental prices can be useful, but only when patients understand what the number actually refers to. A headline price may not tell you whether diagnostics, materials, follow-up visits, or related procedures are included.”

Methodology
LumiQuest reviewed publicly accessible web pages that displayed or discussed dental treatment prices in Dubai, including clinic pages, hospital pages, aggregator pages, marketplace pages, dental cost guides, and promotional landing pages.

Each row was assigned a Quote Transparency Score from 0 to 5. The report does not rank clinics or comment on clinical quality. It focuses only on how clearly public price information is explained before patients request or accept a quote. Provider and clinic names were kept internal to avoid turning the report into a public clinic directory or ranking list.

The treatment categories covered are dental implants; Invisalign / clear aligners; Braces / orthodontics; veneers; root canal; dental crown; tooth extraction; teeth whitening and dental cleaning.
