Emirates Insurance Company (EIC) has successfully rolled out of the first project phase of Merimen’s E-claims solution, marking an important development in the company’s digital transformation progress.
“I am delighted to announce that the next milestone … was achieved last month [February] with the implementation of the Merimen motor claims platform. The platform brings us state of the art tools to deliver best in class customer experience for claimants and provides a flexible, rules-based environment to ensure our team always knows which task is their next priority,” said EIC CEO Jason Light.
He said, “The rollout’s first phase includes the registration of new motor claims, coverage verification, claims adjusting and approval processes. Subsequent phases of the delivery will extend right across the motor claims business process and engage with all our stakeholders inside and outside the company, including repair shops.
“This system complements the previously implemented workflow applications in non-motor and international claims. Both have had a significant impact in reducing the end-to-end cycle time of our claims whilst at the same time providing claims staff with the tools to manage their portfolio of open claims more effectively.”
Merimen UAE director of operations Sebastian Tan said, “Digitalisation for insurers is more than just system implementations, it is an opportunity to revisit business processes and identify improvement opportunities to optimise overall productivity, costs and the customer experience.” M
