Allianz Care has signed a B2B telehealth contract with Health at Hand (HAH), a leading telehealth provider in the Middle East.
With Allianz Care having a large and growing footprint across MENA, this partnership represents a significant moment for primary healthcare in the region. Under the deal, HAH’s telehealth solution will be made available to 100,000’s of Allianz Care’s insured members in 2019 and beyond, changing the way patients access primary healthcare.
Allianz Care’s patients can now access the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licensed doctors via video through their mobile phone, seven days a week with zero co-pay.
“HAH not only met our rigorous technical and operational due diligence, but we have been incredibly impressed with the professionalism of Charlie (Barlow) and the team. We are excited to start a long-term relationship with HAH in the UAE and wider MENA region,” said Mr Christian Gregorowicz, Allianz Partners’ regional CEO MEA.
HAH’s founder and CEO Charlie Barlow commented that “this announcement is a real inflexion point for primary healthcare in the MENA region, where payers are desperately seeking viable, cost-containment solutions, as loss ratios increase and health insurance inflation spirals out of control”.
HAH’s telehealth solution has been built using ‘best of breed’ technologies from other international markets and provides a viable cost-containment for everyone, be it blue-collar or white-collar workers.
HAH won the Innovation of the Year at the 5th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards (MIIA) in 2018. M
