Source: Middle East Insurance Review | Nov 2018

Most consumers believe there is a need for local insurers to continue to launch modern insurance programmes that are suitable for different segments of society, according to a survey by the newspaper Al Bayan.

The survey showed that 17% of respondents to the newspaper’s website believe that local companies offer a range of innovative products to ensure that they meet the requirements of the market. Around 13% of respondents on Facebook and 25% on Twitter agreed with them.

In addition, 83% of respondents on the website, 87% on Facebook and 75% via Twitter said that insurers needed to provide modern products that were suitable for each customer’s needs.

According to experts and specialists in the insurance sector, there is a growing opportunity to increase customer interest and reduce costs through digital transformation. The number of new and innovative insurance plans are mushrooming, leading to major changes in traditional sales channels within the insurance sector.

“These changes have led insurers to seek a wider range of products to ensure that they meet market requirements and provide products that are appropriate to each customer’s needs,” the survey report said. M
