QIC Group has started a knowledge exchange programme with leading insurance company Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance (SJNKI).
This is part of the group’s Qatarisation strategy and helps the group to achieve the targets of the Qatar National Vision 2030, the insurer said.
Last year, SJNKI sent staff to QIC headquarters in Doha to help enhance technical skills, exchange experience and adopt best practices.
About the new initiative, QIC Group chief administrative officer Abdulla al-Mulla said: “At QIC Group, we believe in empowering local talent. By implementing the QIC Sompo knowledge exchange programme for our local staff, we wish to empower our national talent by providing multi-faceted approaches to learning. Besides this, they can also gain an overarching experience and understanding of working in a different environment and imbibe the best of both cultures.”
The training allows trainees to familiarise themselves with various fields of insurance, digitised retail platforms and communications with a multi-cultural workforce and customer base in the Middle East. M
