The National Life & General Insurance Company (NLGIC), the largest insurer in Oman, has opened its first office in Kuwait City to expand innovative solutions.

NLGIC’s CEO S Venkatachalam said that with the company already recognised as a leader in the Omani insurance sector, Kuwait has been chosen to be the next stop from which to tap potential and opportunities, reported Al Qabas. The insurer also has branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

“The company is keen to expand its regional operations in order to better serve and meet the growing demand for diversified insurance solutions in different sectors,” Mr Venkatachalam said.

On his expectations of the company’s success in the Kuwaiti market, Mr Venkatachalam said Kuwait is a rich market and that the company’s strategy is to provide customised products and services using technology.

NLGIC has a market share of more than 65% in Oman. M
