Saham Assurance has officially inaugurated a digital factory in Casablanca, a first in the insurance industry in Morocco. The laboratory aims to design innovative solutions to change the lives of the insured.
The new unit, launched six months ago, is responsible for the transformation of the company’s processes, including developing new applications with high value-add for the insured and that improve customer knowledge.
Speaking at the inauguration in late January, Saham Assurance General Manager Moulay Mhamed Elalamy, said: “We have created a digital factory to put the customer at the heart of our processes, to be able to innovate quickly to meet the needs of our customers, with very short decision cycles and a culture of experimentation.”
He noted that the Moroccan client is increasingly demanding and open to international developments, and expectations now diverge completely from what they were a few years ago. The client wants to have complete information and to be served at the best price with products adapted to his needs in particular. The insurance company must therefore keep pace with this change, to be able to deliver a different customer experience.
An example of changes generated by the digital factory is that Saham Assurance has included the option to sign contracts in Arabic. A client had asked the insurer for contracts in Arabic because he did not understand why his insurance policy was written in French. The Arabic-language contracts were delivered within a few weeks. M
