UAE: Orient Insurance offers new international health plans

Source: Middle East Insurance Review | Dec 2017

Orient Insurance and international health and life experts at Allianz Partners have launched their new International Healthcare Plans for the Dubai market.

Underwritten and sold by Orient Insurance and designed by Allianz Partners, these Dubai Health Authority-compliant solutions offer worldwide cover and include a range of individual plans specifically designed to suit the needs of expat individuals and families moving to or living in Dubai. A range of group plans has also been created, catering to start-ups, SMEs and larger organisations.

Offering exceptional cover, including an Expatriate Assistance Programme (EAP) as standard, the individual plans provide cover for day-to-day medical expenses as well as emergency treatment anywhere in the world should the unexpected happen. Inpatient and outpatient treatments are available on a cashless basis across the UAE and clients can benefit from access to the best hospitals in Dubai.

In addition to the usual international health insurance benefits, group clients also have access to Travel Security Services and an EAP which are included as standard in these new plans. Offering support in the event of terrorist attacks, natural disasters or political unrest as well as counselling and legal advice, these benefits provide additional support to expatriate employees who are often placed in an unfamiliar culture. The core plan can also be supplemented with new optional wellness and optical plans as well as a new lower level dental plan.

Speaking on the launch, Mr Omer Hassan Elamin, President of Orient Group, said: “Our local knowledge and contacts together with Allianz Partners’ global healthcare expertise have enabled us to provide an outstanding solution to individuals and groups looking for international health insurance in Dubai. The modular plan design for both individual and group schemes will allow clients to pick and choose their preferred level of cover.”

Ms Ida Luka-Lognoné, Allianz Partners Board Member, CEO of International Health, and CEO Europe, Middle East and Africa, added: “Given the vibrant expat community in Dubai, we are confident that there will be plenty of interest in plans which offer the added value of assistance programmes and security services. These services are becoming more and more necessary in our fast-paced and unpredictable world.” M
