Although the 13.5% growth of microtakaful in Bangladesh is encouraging, more needs to be done to promote awareness and cooperation, as well as in framing regulations specific to this unique form of insurance to protect the poor, says Mr K M Mortuza Ali of Prime Islami Life Insurance Ltd.
