Trudging through testing times

The relatively small size of Jordan’s insurance market has been a big challenge for operators. The market grew moderately and profitability improved in 2016, a satisfactory development in light of the slow economic growth and the socio-political pressures at the local and regional levels. However, more is needed in terms of top-and-bottom-line growth in order for the industry to make a stronger presence in the national economy.
