RIMS 2017 Annual Conference
Theme: “Risk Revolution”
23-26 April, Philadelphia, USA
RIMS, the risk management society, has opened registration for this year’s Annual Conference & Exhibition, a premier risk management and insurance industry four-day event. Launched in 1963, the event is expected to feature more than 160 educational sessions, 400 exhibitors and is expected to draw more than 10,000 professionals. The new additions to this year’s programme include an Executive Leadership Track and a “Technology and Risk” education category focused on tech innovations.

1st Asia InsurTech Summit
Theme: “Riding the InsurTech Wave”
26-27 April 2017, Singapore
The 1st Asia InsurTech Summit will examine the question “How should insurers go about innovating?”, share success stories, bringing start-ups, insurers and investors together to create a better future for the industry and getting you armed with the current tools and prosper in the digital world.

 4th Saudi Insurance Symposium
30 April - 1 May 2017, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The General Committee of Insurance Companies in Saudi Arabia is holding its fourth biennial insurance symposium to discuss conditions in the Saudi insurance market and find solutions to some of the sector’s major challenges. The Symposium will also look at increasing the sector’s contribution to the national economy and find ways of further benefitting from the opportunities offered by development projects in the Kingdom in view of “2030 Vision”.

18th Asia Conference on Bancassurance and Alternative Distribution Channels
Theme: “The Lure of Bancassurance Even in a Disrupted World: Innovative Distribution Strategies for Scale & Success”
15-16 May, Jakarta, Indonesia
Despite all the disruptive innovation and automate distribution, the lure of bancassurance is still compelling. The use of Big Data, analytics and insights into consumer behaviour has given a new dynamic twist to bancassurance. Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers & Reinsurers (FAIR) 25th Conference

This is the 25th edition of FAIR’s biennial conference. FAIR conferences aim to promote cooperation among insurance and reinsurance companies in Asia and Africa, and typically attract hundreds of top executives and key decision makers from the industry to discuss the opportunities and challenges they face.

14th Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC)
Theme: “New Partnerships in Reinsurance”
31 October – 2 November, Singapore
With the world of risk becoming increasingly more complex, the 14th SIRC will explore the theme of “New Partnerships in Reinsurance” from a variety of different angles including not only the traditional relationships between cedents, reinsurance brokers, reinsurers, risk managers, regulators and government but, also technologies, social media and the Internet of Things. 
 
   The event, to be held for the fourth time from 31 October to 2 November 2017 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, will have Mr Ulrich Wallin, Chairman & CEO of Hannover Re, making his maiden appearance as the conference keynote speaker.
 
   The event will provide three days of high level networking and cooperation opportunities, with the Lloyd’s Coffee House acting as the integral core of the event where all interested parties meet under one roof.

IAIS Annual Conference 2017
Theme: “Insurance Supervision: Looking Beyond…”

This year, the IAIS annual conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and presents a great opportunity for the region’s insurance industry to exchange views on issues relevant to the supervision and development of insurance markets. This year’s theme reflects on the possibilities that lie ahead for insurers and regulators—such as those that lie beyond the status quo, beyond national boundaries, beyond the present and beyond conventional insurance.
