UAE: OIC launches online motor insurance solutions

Oman Insurance Company (OIC) has launched an online motor insurance platform on its website, allowing customers to buy policies using smartphones or laptops.
 
   The insurer has taken steps recently to redefine the customer journey and empower customers through digital capabilities. Since the portal’s activation not long ago, the company has already received positive feedback from customers who purchased their motor insurance online. 
 
   “Motor insurance continues to be one of our key retail products. It is easily accessible through a wide distribution network. We have witnessed tremendous sales growth in 2016 due to the simplification of our processes and a clear focus on servicing our customers the best we can,” said Mr Andrew Brody, Executive Vice President, Consumer Lines. 
 
   On the extension of this distribution channel to the online space, he added: “Our motto is to make things easy and simple for our customers. They now can cover the entire buying process – from the instant quote, comparison of plans, to online purchase and the actual issuance of the policy – right from their iPhones, Android devices or laptops.”
 
   Pleased with yet another digital success, OIC CEO Christos Adamantiadis said: “Our growing digital footprint is evidence of our commitment to empower our customers. By offering them online solutions, we are on the right path to improve customer experience.”
