13th Annual Gulf Insurance Forum
Theme: “Towards a more stable Gulf insurance market”
19-20 October, Dubai, UAE
This year’s edition will consist of workshops over a two-day period to address a number of important technical issues impacting the industry – including the drop in oil prices, the role of insurance supervision, and rules governing investment exposures. 
 
 
Dubai Rendezvous 2016
Theme: ‘’Reinsurance as the game changer’’
7-8 November, Dubai, UAE
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Middle East Insurance Review (MEIR) together with the DIFC Insurance Association (DIFC IA) are delighted to bring back Dubai Rendezvous 2016. The annual conference, supported by DIFC and International Insurance Society (IIS), will gather insurers, reinsurers, risk managers, brokers for an exclusive discussion to tackle the challenges faced by the MENA markets. 
 
 
20th Asian Actuarial Conference (AAC) 
Theme: “Changing Asian societies: Challenges and opportunities”
9-12 November, Gurgaon, India 
India is hosting the AAC for the first time, an event which brings together experts in various relevant domain from across the world.  This year, the conference will focus on challenges and opportunities that the prevailing political, economic and demographic evolution create for the global actuarial and other professional communities that work in the financial services sector. 
 
 
IAIS Annual Conference 2016
Theme: “Risk based supervision to promote safe and stable insurance industry”
10-11 November 2016, Asunción, Paraguay 
Supervisors, academics, consumer and industry representatives, and other insurance experts will come together for a day and a half of robust discussion of the challenges, the opportunities and the solutions over a broad array of subjects including: implementing risk-based supervision, proportionality in practice, technological innovation and implications for supervisors and the insurance market and an update on all IAIS major projects.
 
 
10th India Rendezvous
Theme: “The new realities in reinsurance”
18-20 January 2017, Mumbai, India
Jointly organised with GIC Re all these years, the 10th India Rendezvous will be held at Taj Lands End, and among other things will look at the debate of creating a RI hub in India; impact of regulations on reinsurance and pricing; changing buying patterns; innovative reinsurance solutions; being cyber resilient and many more relevant issues.
