Middle East - Guy Carpenter sets up advisory council for EMEA

Guy Carpenter & Company has established an EMEA Advisory Council to support its growth plans in the region.
The Council is specifically designed to provide advice and to inform the EMEA regional leadership’s strategy and its implementation. It is chaired by Mr Michael Handler, Chairman of Continental Europe at Guy Carpenter, with Mr Christopher Klein, Managing Director and Head of EMEA Strategy Management at Guy Carpenter, acting as Vice Chairman. Other members include Messrs Bruno Meyenhofer, formerly CEO and Chairman of Partner Re Global; Morley Speed, Managing Director, Guy Carpenter; Göran Thorstensson, formerly CEO of Sirius International Insurance Corporation; and Rolf Tolle, formerly Franchise Performance Director at Lloyd’s.
The Council will report to Mr Nick Frankland, CEO of EMEA Operations at Guy Carpenter, and will work in collaboration with the firm’s EMEA Regional Leadership Group.
Mr Frankland said: “We are delighted to have been able to assemble such an impressive group of market professionals, and in particular feel privileged to have attracted such esteemed industry figures as Bruno, Göran and Rolf to our business. I expect their contributions to be significant and to add materially to our increasing impact across the EMEA region.”
