More than 20 illustrious global and regional leaders and experts will be speaking at the Dubai Rendezvous 2015, which will assess the reinsurance market in the Middle East.

With the theme, “A Brave New World of Reinsurance in the Middle East”, the event will be held in Dubai on 16-17 November. It will look at the critical juncture the reinsurance market in the Middle East is at, what more can be done to make Dubai a reinsurance hub, and examine why some hubs thrive and draw business. Ample time and opportunities will be provided for networking.

Mr Scott Lim, Associate Director of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), will provide the regulatory keynote address. Dr Kai-Uwe Schanz, Special Advisor, The Geneva Association will give a special address on “Understanding and Addressing Insurance Protection Gaps”.

There will be three panels: on the Middle East reinsurance market, Nat CATs in MENA, and Lloyd’s Dubai.  Panellists include Mr Michael Jensen, Managing Director, MENA, AIG Property Casualty; Mr Matthew Warren, CEO of Talbot Underwriting (MENA); Mr Mohamed Alali, General Manager, XL Re Europe SE (DIFC Branch); and Mr Ahmed Rajab, CEO MENA and Turkey, Aon Benfield.
