More than 20 illustrious local and regional leaders and experts, including five from the Middle East, will be speaking at The Takaful Rendezvous 2015 which will offer a look at the strength and future of the takaful industry.
With the theme, “Prioritising the Role of Retakaful in the Takaful Value Chain”, the event will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 29 and 30 September 2015.
Mr Firas El Azem, Chairman of the Global Takaful Group (GTG) and General Manager of Takaful Re, will deliver the official keynote address, providing an overview of global (re)takaful developments. Other Middle East experts include Mr Mahomed Akoob, CEO, Hannover ReTakaful, Bahrain; Mr Adrian Flowers, CEO, SABB Takaful Company, Saudi Arabia; Mr Abdulrahman Al Khateeb, Head of Claims, SABB Takaful; and Ms Camille Paldi, CEO, FAAIF Limited, UAE.
Mr Wan Mohd Nazri Wan Osman, Director, Islamic Banking and Takaful Department at Bank Negara Malaysia, will give a regulatory keynote speech.
The Rendezvous, now in its third year, will take stock of progress made in the takaful industry and provides a much-needed forum for discussions about innovative retakaful solutions to take the industry to the next step of excellence.
The programme will include two full days of presentations on the strength and future of the takaful industry, with a balanced mix of technical presentations and interactive panel discussions that cover a wide range of topics, from strategic forays into big-ticket corporate commercial risks to exploring global opportunities in takaful. There will also be ample opportunities for business networking and bilateral business meetings.
