Swiss Re Corporate Solutions names Head of Sales, EMEA
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Ms Loredana Mazzoleni Neglén as Head Sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s distribution and sales strategy in the region. 
 
   Ms Mazzoleni Neglén will be based in Zurich and report to Mr Tony Buckle, CEO EMEA, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. She succeeds Mr Antonio Simone who has been appointed Country Head Switzerland. 
 
   An Italian and Swiss national, Ms Mazzoleni Neglén has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since joining Swiss Re in 2000, she has held several senior positions in sales and underwriting in EMEA and Asia Pacific. Most recently, she was Head Specialties Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, where she was responsible for establishing several specialty lines of business and their underwriting centres.

Aon welcomes new Head of DC Solutions for EMEA 
Aon plc has appointed Mr Tony Pugh as Head of Defined Contribution (DC) Solutions for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). 
 
   Mr Pugh joins Aon after 28 years with Mercer where he was a senior partner and advised some of the UK’s largest companies and DC plans, as well as multinational companies on their DC arrangements.
 
   He previously led Mercer’s UK DC Retirement business and its European DC business for three years. His advice has covered defined benefit and DC schemes, companies and trustees, while he has also worked extensively in strategy and design and in developing benefit programmes for financial services organisations.

Egypt: Apex appoints CEO
Apex Insurance Reinsurance Brokerage, Egypt, has appointed Mr Khalid Al Sayed  as CEO. He has experience of 28 years in insurance and reinsurance on regional and international levels in addition to his exposure to several lines of business including specialty, Proportional and Non-Proportional Treaty and Facultative business.
 
   Mr Khalid is an Associate of the CII and is an Authorised Insurance Expert Consultant by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority. He previously held several senior positions including Head of the African Oil and Energy Insurance Pool, Regional Manager at Saudi Cooperative Reinsurance Company, Director of Treaty - The Middle East at Aon Benfield, and Deputy General Manager at Willis Towers Watson Re.

Saudi Arabia: Tawuniya appoints new CEO
The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) has appointed Mr Abdulaziz Al Boug as its new CEO, effective from 21 April 2017, to replace Mr Raed bin Abdullah Al-Tamimi who resigned for personal reasons.
 
   Mr Al Boug, who has over 19 years of experience in the insurance field, is currently the Senior Vice President of Sales in Tawuniya. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international business in addition to several professional accreditations.
 
   The outgoing Mr Al-Tamimi has served as CEO since September 2014. The board of Tawuniya thanks Mr A-Tamimi for his contributions to the company.

UAE: Willis Re names new Executive Director
Willis Ltd, Dubai Branch has appointed Mr Khaldoon Hemsi as Executive Director, heading the Life and Medical business across the MENA region.
 
   Mr Hemsi, bringing 15 years of experience in the field, joins Willis from NEXtCARE, part of the Allianz Worldwide Partners Group, where he served as Head of Business development & Client relations for the UAE and the region. Before joining NEXtCARE in 2007, he worked with Scottish Re Middle East, looking after their healthcare, life and personal accident operations. 

UAE: Fenchurch Faris appoints Reinsurance Treaty Manager in Dubai
Fenchurch Faris Ltd has appointed Mr Mustafa Jarrah as Reinsurance Treaty Manager in its DIFC Representative Office in Dubai. He is tasked with growing the company’s expanding treaty business in the MENA region.  
 
   Prior to joining Fenchurch Faris, Mr Jarrah was a senior reinsurance broker at Chedid Capital SAL in Saudi Arabia, responsible for Treaty.
