Lyon-headquartered APRIL Group is accelerating its international growth strategy in the Middle East, expanding into Abu Dhabi and entering the Qatari market.

APRIL International is extending its partnership with Hayah to Abu Dhabi and joining forces with Seib Insurance, a leading local insurance and reinsurance provider, to enter Qatar. The moves follow the launch of the group’s operations in Dubai in 2024, according to a company statement.

“These two new developments significantly strengthen APRIL’s regional footprint and further establish the Middle East as a strategic growth market for the Group,” the statement said.

APRIL’s development model combines its international expertise in health and mobility insurance with the market knowledge and capabilities of strong local partners. Across the region, the Group provides insurance solutions for both individuals and businesses, responding to growing international mobility, the increasing globalisation of companies and evolving healthcare protection needs.

“International expansion is a core pillar of APRIL’s strategy, and the Middle East is one of the regions where we see significant long-term potential. After establishing ourselves in Dubai, our expansion into Abu Dhabi and Qatar demonstrates both the strength of our ambitions and our ability to execute them rapidly. We intend to continue building our presence in the region wherever APRIL’s expertise can create value for our partners, our customers and the Group” said Mr Eric Maumy, President & CEO of APRIL Group.

APRIL is a leading wholesale insurance broker in France, with a network of 30,000 partner brokers worldwide. The group operates in 25 countries.
