The DIFC Insurance Association (DIFCIA) has announced the appointment of Mr Ahmed Rajab, Founder and CEO of SHIELDS Miller (formerly SHIELDS Reinsurance Brokers), as Chairman of the Association.
According to a LinkedIn post by the DIFCIA, Mr Rajab has been closely connected to the Association since its earliest days, having served as one of its first Board Members and contributing to the development of the reinsurance market within the DIFC.
With 29 years of experience across the regional and international reinsurance industry, he brings extensive market knowledge, longstanding industry relationships and senior leadership experience to the role.
Prior to founding SHIELDS Reinsurance Brokers in 2017, Mr Rajab held senior leadership positions with Aon Benfield and Willis Re, with experience spanning Dubai, London and Paris.
Mr Rajab succeeds Mr Philip Story.
