Egypt:Tamer Saher joins Fawry as CEO/MD

Fawry Microinsurance Company has appointed Mr Tamer Saher Heriz as CEO and MD, effective July.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in the life (re)insurance industry and business development.

Mr Saher joins the company from Reinsurance Group of America in the UAE (RGA DIFC), where he spent more than 14 years as Director of Business Development.

Previously, he served as Assistant Director – Family & Medical at Takaful Re from 2007 to 2012. He was also Head of Operations and Project Manager at Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA) in the UAE.

Mr Saher worked earlier at different insurance and financial institutions in Egypt and the UAE, including Oman Insurance Company (now Sukoon), Egypt Reinsurance Company, Egyptian International Medical Insurance Company and Noor Stock Trading.
