MAE Assurances has announced the appointment of Mr Hatem Amira as its new CEO, effective 1 June. He succeeds Mr Lassaad Zarrouk, who had led the company since 2017.
Prior to joining MAE, Mr Amira served as Executive Director of the Tunisian Federation of Insurance Companies (FTUSA) since 2020 and previously headed the Tunisian Unified Automobile Bureau from 2012 to 2020. Mr Amira brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Founded in 1962, MAE Assurances is one of Tunisia's leading mutual insurance companies. Originally established to provide insurance services to members of the education sector, the insurer has expanded its offerings over the decades to serve a broader customer base.
