As part of its preparations for the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference, COP31, the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) has held a meeting with the Brazilian Insurance Companies Association (CNseg).
One of the topics addressed in the meeting was the strategic role of the insurance sector in combating climate risks and its increasing responsibility, reported the news platform Sigorta Medya.
For instance, the insurance sector has moved beyond simply being a structure providing post-damage compensation, to that of a pioneer of transformation in areas such as accurate risk analysis, development of preventive solutions and a pillar of economic and social resilience.
The TSB also stated that it attaches great importance to maintaining dialogue with international stakeholders, especially CNseg.
