Africa Specialty Risks (ASR) has appointed Mr Joseph Kotran as Head of Business Development, Middle East and Turkiye.

ASR noted that Mr Kotran brings over two decades of senior reinsurance underwriting experience in the Middle East, having held roles at Trust Re, Hannover Re and most recently Barents Re.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and professional qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institutes of UK, the post added.
