Algerian Gulf Life Insurance Company (AGLIC) has announced the appointment of Mr Samy Touhouche as CEO.
Recognised for his strategic leadership and strong expertise in corporate governance, Mr Touhouche begins in his new role with the ambition to make AGLIC a major player in personal insurance, as well as to actively drive the company’s modernisation by creating value, strengthening risk management and accelerating its digital transformation, said the company in a statement.
Mr Touhouche has been Chairman of AGLIC since 2020. He has extensive experience in the field of training and development in the fields of banking and finance.
Mr Touhouche takes over from Mr Ammar Meslouh, who stepped down in September 2025.
