Wethaq Takaful Insurance has announced the appointment of Dr Reda Ahmed as its new CEO, effective July 2025.
With over 12 years of experience in senior management, including seven years as chairman and CEO of Mohandes Insurance Company, Dr Ahmed has a deep understanding of the insurance industry in Egypt and the mechanisms of growth.
Dr Ahmed started his career in the early 1990s with Misr Insurance Company, and then moved on to hold several senior roles at a number of insurance companies in Egypt including GIG, Arab Orient Takaful and AROPE.
In addition, he has been working as an insurance consultant for the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) since 2021,and has academic activities in the field of training and education. He has published books addressing vital issues in the insurance industry, including fire and property insurance risks.
