MENA:QBE Re appoints new Regional Head

QBE Re has appointed Mr Montassar Cherrak as its Regional Head of Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

In this newly created role, Mr Cherrak will lead QBE Re’s underwriting strategy across MENA, as the reinsurer looks to further develop its presence in the region with local expertise.

Mr Cherrak brings almost 30 years of experience in the financial sector and has worked in reinsurance since 2005. He joins from SCOR SE.

Based in Dubai, Mr Cherrak will report directly to Houcine Zouaoui, Head of Middle East and Africa for QBE Re.
