The size of Islamic insurance assets is projected to reach IDR300tn ($20.7bn) or 20-25% of that of conventional insurance in 2030. To achieve this projection, Islamic insurance industry assets must grow by 30% per year for the next 10 years, according to the chairman of the Indonesian Shariah Insurance Association (AASI) Tatang Nurhidayat.
