UAE:Chances of setting up a national reinsurer deemed remote

The possibility of a national reinsurance company being set up in the UAE by the insurance industry is weak, according to Mr Bassam Chilmeran, General Manager of Al Wathba National Insurance who is also chairman of the Reinsurance Committee of the Emirates Insurance Association.
