The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Algerian Institute of Higher Financial Studies (IAHEF) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening national capacities in the field of inclusive insurance in Algeria.

In a statement, the UNDP said that through this partnership, it will mobilise international experts to support IAHEF in training trainers, who will then contribute to the first training sessions for market players, as part of the first cohort of the inclusive insurance certification programme.

This action is part of the UNDP's global "Insurance and Risk Finance Facility" (IRFF) initiative, implemented in Algeria with the Ministry of Finance through the project "Support to stakeholders for inclusive insurance in Algeria".

By strengthening national skills and supporting the development of tailored solutions, this partnership helps to promote more inclusive insurance and strengthen the resilience of populations to risks.
