The Arab Actuarial League (AAL), one of the specialised professional leagues operating under the umbrella of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), has announced the launch of its first official visual identity.
The logo embodies the League's forward-looking vision aimed at strengthening the actuarial profession across the Arab region, says GAIF in a statement.
The logo underscores the League’s commitment to being a regional platform that brings together Arab actuaries, advancing professional standards, fostering cooperation between academic institutions and the insurance sector, and supporting a new generation of experts in risk management and actuarial sciences.
Mr Chakib Abouzaid, GAIF Secretary General, stated that the establishment of the AAL in March 2023 addresses a genuine professional gap in the region, as the first specialised Arab platform dedicated to advancing the actuarial profession in line with international standards. He noted that the launch of the logo marks an important milestone, reflecting the League’s transition toward a more structured and impactful institutional presence.
Mr Wassim Al-Tabbah, AAL Chairman, explained that the League is currently focused on strengthening its institutional presence, expanding membership, and building strategic partnerships with academic and actuarial bodies, alongside launching training programmes to enhance professional capabilities. He added that the new visual identity reflects the League’s ambition to serve as a leading platform for knowledge and innovation, supporting the future of the actuarial profession in the Arab world.
