Saudi Arabia:SAMA data show net loss of over US$40m for insurers in 1Q

The Saudi insurance sector posted a loss after zakat and tax of SAR152.7m ($40.6m) in 1Q2022, compared to a net profit of SAR100.4m in the corresponding quarter in 2021, according to the "Quarterly Insurance Sector Report" for 1Q2022 issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
