Global:Mutual & cooperative insurers' business model seen as attractive to millennial/Gen Z talent

02 Jul 2020

In order to be truly sustainable companies, cooperative and mutual insurers must attract, retain and develop the next generation of talent, as this will be crucial to keeping up with today's fast-changing market needs, says a report by the International Co-operative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF).

The report titled “Strategic InSights: The next generation of mutual talent” says that the sector’s unique business model makes them an attractive option for millennial and generation Z employees and highlights ways the sector can attract, develop and retain young colleagues.

Written by a group of young professionals from ICMIF’s Young Leaders Forum (YLF), it includes a summary of responses from 23 ICMIF member organisations from 17 countries.

ICMIF CEO Shaun Tarbuck said, “The better the culture for employee engagement and development, the more likely potential talent will be attracted to join an organisation.”
